RPV and RCAP I use several types of remotely piloted vehicles (RPV's) which act as camera platforms for aerial photography. These vehicles are whisper quiet and unobtrusive due to the latest advances in small electric motors and battery technology. These camera mounted vehicles represent the state of the art in low altitude aerial photography and videography, allowing us to shoot photos and video where previously impossible. This technique is referred to as Remote Control Aerial Photography (RCAP). Flights can extend to 30 minutes without landing and while recording video or shooting still photographs. GREATER IMPACT The low altitude perspective is unique in photography. All images are shot at 400 feet (and under) which is difficult, dangerous, and expensive to shoot when using standard size aircraft. It is also cost prohibitive for many real estate firms, construction firms, homeowners, and public institutions to hire full-sized aircraft to shoot video and stills for them. This is an affordable alternative, and in my opinion, produces better video and photographs with more impact and generates more interest. WHAT'S NEW To purchase prints of my photographs and view additional HD video not posted on this site CLICK HERE. I am currently shooting video in High Definition Widescreen.
